Watch the demolition blast from the comfort of your home: Hagedorn wants to keep visitors away on blasting day
For the big blast at the former Steag power plant in Lünen, the Hagedorn Group is organizing an online event.
When the cooling tower, chimney and boiler house come down on Sunday, March 28, 2021, the aim is to keep crowds of visitors away. The Hagedorn Group has therefore decided to organize an online event to take place on the day of the blast. Due to the situation caused by the pandemic, the Gütersloh-based Group feels responsible for preventing crowds as far as possible. Unlike an on-site event, Hagedorn's online event not only allows any number of visitors to watch, but also lets everyone get up close.
More than just an online event
What’s on offer? Different camera perspectives are designed to give viewers the feel of a live spectacle. With many extra features thrown in, this will ensure that watching at home will be just as fun and spectacular as being there in person. Exactly what special features are thrown in will be revealed at a later date. The link to the online event will also be posted here and on social media in good time.
