For us as a medium-sized family business, it has always been important to be present in the region and beyond through our commitment. For us, helping in a meaningful way is a natural part of our idea of social responsibility.
For many years, we have therefore supported and promoted social and community-oriented projects. Personal contact and continuity of projects are important to us. We like to help, and accompany the affected people, and are pleased together with them when small steps and big advances are achieved with our help. We present an excerpt of the projects we have been involved in here. And who knows, maybe more helpers will be found this way.
We'd be delighted.
Barbara and Thomas Hagedorn
“Helping out and pitching in where help is needed is important to me. That is why we support a project in which Hagedorn employees are also involved in a socially-minded way. As a manager, I work with our employees on a daily basis and know that: in addition to professional skills, each individual possesses a wide range of potential and abilities. And compassion is in all of us. Why not make something good out of it together? That was the initial spark for MIThelfen, the project in which Hagedorn employees get involved in a socially-minded way. It was important for me to sharpen my own perception and to look beyond my personal comfort zone.”
“In 2014, we got started: I encouraged our employees to become active, and to look around attentively in their environment: Who needs support and where do I want to help as a person and as a team with my colleagues? The selection of the measures was allowed to be self-directed and the project work was allowed to take place during working hours. In this way, the employees can contribute their own manpower to the project and determine the time frame themselves. Whether they help once a year, once a month, or every week is up to each group. Hagedorn provides financial support for realizing the jointly developed goals. I am proud of our team. Together, we're excited to be able to help.”
